Test-Heads

This week's theme on Illustration Friday was "Choose". With the MCAS (Massachusetts state assessment tests) coming up soon, some of the kids in the school where I work have become preoccupied with test scores. I think it's a shame how the education system has become so focused on standardized testing — turning children into little "test-heads".

I like this - great old-fashioned, simple graphic feel to it, but very topical!

By the way, your blog won't let people comment unless they have blogger accounts. I don't actually use mine at the moment but logged in to comment (I live here: Errantry) - if you want other people to be able to comment your control panel should have some options.

brilliant interpretation! how fitting. Our kids feel the same with the WASL (washington assessment of student learning test)

This is great-- couldn't agree more with the sentiment & I like the old-textbook feel of the drawing too.
